What is this?!
It's an adventure! We send you into a themed, immersive game space filled with puzzles, and you solve them all in order to "escape" within the hour. It's awesome!
How do I become an Escapist?
You sign up; then show up, put your thinking cap on, and do everything in your power to beat the clock.
Is it scary? Is it safe?
Our experiences are very safe! While you play, the venue is being constantly monitored by a trained Game Operator, and an emergency exit is always available in case of discomfort or actual emergency. You are never locked in a room. The lights may get dim at some points, but there's no (intentionally) spooky music or sounds, no frightening pictures, and certainly no one is going to jump out at you.
Am I smart enough to play this?
Definitely! Our games are challenging, but they're designed for all our players to have a great time, whether you escape within the hour or not. Plus, our highly trained Game Operators are always ready to jump in with a well-timed clue if they see that your team is going down the wrong rabbit hole or starting to feel frustrated.
How much does this cost?
The base price to rent one of our rooms is $79 which includes TWO (2) admission tickets, which is also the minimum number of players needed to play our games. Each additional ticket is an additional $29 per person. Each room has individual capacity limits.
Explore all your different options on our bookings page.
Are corporate/full-venue bookings available?
Yes! Larger groups can rent out the entire venue for birthdays, bachelorettes, graduation parties, or other team-building events. Please see our venue rental page for pricing info, or contact us to schedule your booking.
Prefer to host your gathering off-site? Check out Wreck Havoc, our large group game for teams of 24 players or more. Perfect for corporate events.
Are there age or other restrictions?
While we welcome players of all ages, we typically recommend out games for players 10+ as our games are designed to be challenging for adults. If you’re under 15, you have to play with a responsible adult; and if you’re 15-17, you can come alone but you need to bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. You also can’t have landed on our Prohibited Players List due to lateness, disruptive behavior, etc. Finally, if anyone on your team is playing the game for the second time, you are disqualified from our leaderboard but you do qualify for our replay league.
Is there a min/max number of players per game?
All bookings have a two-player minimum. Our smallest game can hold up to 4 players, two of our games can hold up to 6 players each, and our largest game can hold up to 10.
Can my team size exceed the listed capacity?
Under special circumstances, we are often able to add a “+1” while still complying with fire/safety standards. Please contact us to inquire. However, keep in mind that our listed maximums are chosen very carefully, based on the number of puzzles and the amount of physical space available. With a “+1,” you may not achieve Maximum Fun™. To preserve the quality of everyone’s experience, we will never allow more than a single “+1” per game.
Do the puzzles ever change?
Every year, we retire one room and introduce an entirely new one — new theme, new puzzles, the works. Keeps us busy; keeps the people happy. Unfortunately, this also means that each game has a limited life span. We encourage you to check which games are ending soonest, so you can get a chance to try them before they’re gone.
How do I get there and where do I park?
You can find detailed directions and parking info here!
Can I cancel/change my reservation?
As with a show or concert, our games start at specific times and capacity is limited. However, we understand that conflicts come up and emergencies happen. If you give us 24 hours' notice or more (3 days for private events), we are happy to provide you with full booking credit for a future game; with 48 hours' notice or more (6 days for private events), we can also provide you with a refund, minus a 5% fee to cover our credit card processing costs.
You’ll have 48 hours’ notice if a game has to be cancelled for any reason under our control. (This almost never happens.)
